Yesterday I got to my Physics class a good 20 minutes early (which is sad, because it means I could have slept another 20 minutes--no, I'm kidding, really!), and I was reading my Bible while I was waiting. Now I will frequently get my reading in before class if I get there early enough, since my day doesn't seem to start right if I don't begin with the Bible. However, no one has ever commented on it before.
But yesterday a girl walked over to me. She wanted to know what I was reading, because it looked like a Bible. Turns out that her name is Dana, she's been a Christian for 6 years, and she had noticed my reading before and wondered if I was a Christian too. So I met another sister! That really made my day. She talked a little bit with me about a book she was reading that her pastor recommended. She had wanted a book that would give her a good way to explain the inability of Man to save himself--thus the necessity for salvation through Jesus Christ. She had been talking with some Muslim women who found this the biggest stumbling block to their understanding of Christianity and Christ. Hence this book, which she is going to let me borrow when she's finished.
That really excited me--I try to keep on track while I'm at school, focusing on my walk with Christ even while I'm learning about sonographs and standing waves--and it isn't easy for me! So this was a blessing--sort of a tap on the shoulder from God--a definite encouragement!
I had one other very interesting conversation with someone else about Christianity and religion the same day, before my next class...but I actually have to run right now--I'm doing an interview with a Muslim girl named Fatima for my World Music Appreciation class, and that's at 1, so....see y'all in a bit! *grin*
By the way, I hope you all appreciate that I'm taking time out of my busy schedule to (semi) keep this blog up!

Sounds like an up and coming Calvinist. You should have sent her Mom's way. ;)
Hurry up and update! I want to read your interesting conversation. It's not like I have anything else to do with my life.
Haha, how did I know the comment would be Pieter's? Lol. Thanks for updating, Jamie. I check here faithfully, every day, but you don't update much anymore. Sad. :( Now I, on the other hand, apparently have way too much time on my hands, and I update mine every day, as if it were my profession and I was getting paid a pretty hefty salary to do it. ;) I guess I have no life. I am going to the homecoming dance tomorrow night, though, so that's exciting. It's at the Museum of Contemporary Art, too, which I find quite intriguing. Anyway, it's quite late, so it's off to bed I go. I need my beauty sleep, after all. *wink wink* Talk to you later! ~Jordan~ (P.S. Wouldn't it be funny if I never signed my name to my comments, cuz then you wouldn't have any idea who was leaving comments, and it would be funny. Haha, I'm too tired to be awake right now. Someone send me to bed. :-P)
lol Thanks for the comment Jordan--hope the homecoming dance is all that and more ;)
I'll try to post more often--now I feel bad about not taking the time!
If you aren't familiar with it, http://www.carm.org is an excellent resource. I find it helpful for developing outlines and organizing my thoughts, when preparing discussions and papers related to theological objections or cult teachings.
Oh, and Matt Slick comes from a Reformed point of view. *g*

Thanks :) No, I'm not familiar with it, but i'll definitely be checking it out!
